Nashville Foodscapes is a design/build landscaping company that specializes in edible and ecologically focused landscapes. We follow permaculture principles in our designs and common sense in our installations. Installation Crew Member

Job Type: Part-time

Number of Employees Supervised: 0

Salary Range: $15/hr

Reports to: Project Managers

Purpose and Description This position is responsible for helping with most aspects of foodscape installation, under the direction & supervision of a Project Manager. This position may offer the possibility to set roots into a growing company on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities/Activities Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

1. Perform tasks such as:

  • Digging, Planting, & Edging
  • Weeding & Mulching
  • Moving materials in wheelbarrows
  • Assisting in carpentry projects
  • Assisting in masonry projects
  • Potentially running small machines (sod cutter, tiller, saw) 

2. Maintain a high level of good housekeeping & care of company assets in the field, vehicles, lot, office, & client work-sites.

3. Maintain regular & reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company. 

Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements

(Desired but not required. Candidates with a passion to learn are encouraged to apply): 

  • Experience in a landscaping, gardening, or farming role
  • Familiarity with edible, medicinal, & useful plants
  • Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment including various hand tools, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in all weather, including extreme heat & humidity
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current driver’s license
  • Must have your own transportation
  • Must be available for work Monday through Thursday
