Hi. Everybody deserves dignified housing, access to fresh, healthy food, and beauty. Like. For real. Let’s build that world. On that note, @nashvillefoodscapes is teaming up with @thevillageatglencliff to build a courtyard garden for the microhome village that will combine functional and aesthetic elements - dry creek & rain garden for storm water management, decomposed granite pathways & patios that are wheelchair accessible, pollinator & herb garden beds that provide food and medicine, raised beds for growing more food, fruit trees, & more.

“The mission of The Village at Glencliff is to provide a dignified, loving, and hospitable medical respite/ bridge housing community for our most vulnerable friends experiencing homelessness in Nashville in an effort to meet each individual’s most basic needs so that they are empowered to focus on healing and permanent supportive housing.

Since 2010, an ever expanding group of passionate humans have been dreaming of a place that would allow our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness who are also most medically vulnerable to be supported and safe as they heal from their vulnerabilities while waiting for permanent housing. In offering a portion of their church land, Glencliff United Methodist Church enabled an innovative opportunity to create a healthy option for our mission to provide “bridge housing” to people who are experiencing homelessness: The Village at Glencliff, consisting of 22 micro homes, has capacity to serve 26 individuals who would otherwise recover from their hospital stay on the street.”

Our standard enclosed raised bed package features a 20" tall U-shaped raised garden bed enclosed in a 8'x8' protective structure with a hinged-door/gate. The structure is built with eastern red cedar, hardware cloth, and filled with high-quality compost/soil. The natural oils of our locally-sourced eastern red cedar, grown and milled here in Tennessee, make it rot-resistant and will sustain the elements for decades to come!

Price: $5,000, includes installation on an accessible, flat area
