Little Dry Creeks

We put in two little dry creeks in this back yard! A lot of water was saturating this small space making it unusable, so we made a more appealing area that also helps control an excess of water runoff. Now the area is more fun to be in and less muddy of a mess!

Each dry creek catches water runoff directly from the rain spout. It feeds into a pipe hidden under the stone and carries the water out into the alley behind the home. The space is planted out with creeping jenny, a ground cover that spreads quickly and requires little maintenance, making it a great replacement for grass in an area with little foot traffic. The other creek leads to the garage and back alley way, and is a small hidden jungle! The edge of the creek has plants that will fill out making a wonderful little walkway.
